Accommodation
CLASS Accommodation Services promotes individuals with disabilities living in their own houses as independently as possible.
Some clients reside independently while others may live in shared accommodation.
Strathalbyn Cluster Site
Our cluster site of units in Strathalbyn was originally a pilot project overseen by Disability SA through the Young People in Nursing Homes Project (YPNHP).
The Target client group is younger people at risk of residing in aged care facilities. In this particular site each client resides independently with two support staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Staff assist clients with tasks the client is unable to do independently.
CNP
The Caring Neighbourhood Program is funded and proudly supported by HACC and Alexandrina, Victor Harbor and Yankalilla Councils and is designed to form long lasting friendships in the Strathalbyn area through matching registered CLASS volunteers with residents who are frail aged and socially isolated.
Referrals can be made through your GP or directly to CLASS.
Day Services
CLASS Day Services are community based, day activities that promote independence, inclusion, fun and personal development.
CLASS provides Day Services to clients living in the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Southern Metropolitan and Kangaroo Island.
Programs are negotiated with clients and families to ensure individual needs are met and encourage interaction with the community whilst maximising opportunities for developing confidence and skills.
CLASS Day Services aim to provide programs that include meaningful and enjoyable activities whilst supporting participants to achieve their goals and realise their potential.
CLASS Day Services aim to;
- Identify and respond to the individual needs of clients
- Develop programs to support individual needs with client involvement
- Promote community inclusion and participation
- Provide a safe and positive environment that enhances individual skill development and broadens life experiences
- Promote healthy lifestyles
- Challenge and inspire
Clients are supported by trained and experienced staff and volunteers from the local community.
Programs run Monday—Friday (excluding public holidays and CLASS breaks).
Each client has a program specifically designed to meet their individual needs and interests. Programs are negotiated between CLASS, clients and families/caregivers. All programs offered in CLASS Day Services focus on community inclusion, developing confidence and independence.
Clients congregate for both social interaction and participation in activities.

In-Home Support
CLASS In-Home Support Services allows people with a disability to live independently in their own home and receive assistance with everyday tasks such as personal care or practical household assistance. Services and rosters are designed around our clients to provide support to assist with daily tasks.
Please contact your Disability Services Coordinator to discuss eligibility.
Recreation
For the past 15 years, CLASS has coordinated and run quality camping programs for children, youth and adults. With a strong focus on Independent Living skills, the camps offer not only a weekend away, but an exciting opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends and experience new activities.
Extensive background profiles completed on each potential participant allow the camping program to be tailored to suit each group’s interests and abilities.
As CLASS is often responsible for the coordination of outings on behalf of other organisations, a good opportunity exists for new participants to be referred to an appropriate program.
