CLASS
trains and supports volunteers to be involved in activities with people with
disabilities.
Volunteers participate in a number of ways including:

Being a friend and companion to a person with a disability living in their
community and encouraging them to participate in local activities and shared
interests.

Providing additional support in the CLASS Options programs. These may be
recreational and leisure activities such as swimming or bowling; lifestyle
programs such as cooking or computing; or community volunteering programs such
as gardening and landscape projects.

Providing assistance on weekend respite activities such as camps or outings.

Providing practical assistance to individuals such as transport to the local
shops, help with the garden or home maintenance.

Assisting with fundraising activities.
Class
Volunteers are people who have a genuine interest in giving something back to
their community. In return they receive enormous satisfaction, new friends and
an added dimension to their lives.
