Community Living and Support Services Inc (C.L.A.S.S.)
assumed sponsorship for the Reach Recreation program in 1995.
Reach Recreation has offered over 100 camps to young
people with a mild to moderate intellectual disability.
Reach Recreation offers a development based camping
program as a vehicle on which practical life skills can form. Monthly camps are
typically conducted over a two day period.
A monthly Day option program is also offered to
participants to further develop and practice social skills, encourage community
participation and active involvement in leisure pursuits.
Reach Recreation also aims to increase the sense of
personal confidence, increase mutual support within the group, aid in the
development of agility, physical co-ordination and develop self reliance.

with the support of The Pickard Foundation where older/past participants
continue with the program supporting younger and newer participants as well as
