Myranth
- Ngarrindjeri, meaning "COMFORTABLE"
Myranth House provides a holiday for people with a disability, arising from an
Acquired Brain Injury and Physical or Progressive Neurological Disorder and an
Intellectual Disability.
Myranth House provides 24 hour support for up to four people at one time. The
house is fully equipped to meet the needs of all its guests. There are four
spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite, a lounge room, dining room, kitchen
and outdoor entertaining area. Home cooked meals and laundry facilities are
provided as part of the service. Myranth House is your “home away from home”.
Myranth House is located at 48 High Street, Strathalbyn.

HOW DO I FIND
MYRANTH HOUSE?

picturesque township and gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
There is fee of $25.00 per night. Accommodation fees cannot
be claimed from Medicare or Private Health Fund as
Myranth Houe is providing respite care.

WHAT IS PROVIDED?
Myranth House provides: All meals Soap, towels, face washers Bed linen, pillows
Laundry Mobility and Personal Care equipment Hospital style beds if required A
team of trained and experienced support staff.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Personal items including toiletries, continence and sanitary items
Personal medication Personal mobility equipment Alcohol,
in limited supply may be bought to the house, but consumption
will be monitored by staff. Additional spending money
No smoking is permitted in the house.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE SERVICE?
The service provided at Myranth House is for clients registered with Brain
Injury Option Coordinator, Adult Physical Neurological or Intellectual
Disability Service Council. All guests require a referral through your Options
Coordinator. If you require, your Options Coordinator can make arrangements on
your behalf for your stay. For more information and to organise your stay,
please contact the Coordinator of the Strathalbyn Rest and Recreation Service,
Karen Maidment- Longbottom on (08) 85 362 175 or after hours 0413 584 942.
Bookings should be made in advance. A deposit of $25.00 is required to confirm
your booking.

HOW TO MAKE MOST OF YOUR STAY?
Guests are encouraged to tell us of their social and recreational requirements
so we can ensure they have an enjoyable stay with us. At Myranth House we
understand that each person has different needs. Staff are informed about any
particular requirements or preferred daily routines for each of our guests so
that they feel comfortable at all times throughout their stay.
